Newsletters for Email Marketing

When managing a community on the web, or just a business that you want to keep your customers up to date on it is always a good idea to create and distribute a newsletter to those people that are interested. Having those that come to your site and subscribe to your newsletters by e-mail is one of the best email marketing tools you can use. You aren’t spamming anyone because they requested information so the likelihood it is read and therefore ends up on your site, and even better making a purchase, is much higher.

Suppose you add new products, have frequent discounts, or add new features to your site fairly often. If your customers and community want to know about your great deals, or check out the new products and features you have just released they will always have to come to your website to find this out. If you offer a newsletter you can let them know via e-mail when they subscribe so that you can keep them up to date and interested in your business, or community. You may keep your newsletter archived, unless you delete them, as well giving your customers a place to see any of your past newsletters that may have been released before they subscribe. On top of that an RSS feed can be used for those of us that like to keep up to date with new information that way.
