On Friday – just one day into free agency – the Detroit Lions made significant moves, re-shaping the team that has been familiar to fans for the past few seasons.
In a pair of trades, cornerback Dré Bly and defensive end James Hall were sent to the Broncos and Rams, respectively, leaving vacancies at starting right cornerback and starting right end.
Also affecting the defense was the move of Cory Redding from the starting left end position to starting under tackle, meaning that the Lions will have neither starting defensive end they had to begin last season. read more...

Addressing Needs on the Front
Apparently the Lions did actually address a need recently by signing defensive end Dewayne White.
